For those who were not able to go to this year’s Punta Cana Poker Classic, they can watch how it goes with the help of renowned blogger Larry Colcy, aka TheGamblogger.
Americas Cardroom has done everyone a big favor by sponsoring the next series of Living the Dream poker tournament videos that he will be hosting. The site already has the second video ready to be watched by those who want to get a glimpse of fun happening in the Caribbean.
The Living the Dream video series follows online poker players that have managed to win entries into exclusive tournaments in exotic locations in Europe and the Caribbean. Older series have covered previous Punta Cana tournaments, tournaments in St. Maarten, and Austria. Over 120 Americas Cardroom players managed to win a slot in the Punta Cana tournament series. The Living the Dream videos will be following several of them as they try their best to carry over their online poker skills to the offline table during the tournament.
This year will be the seventh Punta Cana Poker Classic. Running from Oct. 25 to 31, it is being held at a new venue this time around: The Level at Melia Caribe Tropical. In previous years, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was the host location. The move to a full all-inclusive resort is good for the players since it gives players a lot of options when it comes to additional entertainment, with Melia Caribe Tropical’s full complement of restaurants, bars, and other facilities.
With 15 poker events scheduled over six days, the Punta Cana Poker Classic will be turning the resort into a poker paradise. With several high buy-in events, players have a chance to win a lot of money. Additionally, players can relax by using the swimming pools and golf course to relax after a tense tournament.
As for the coverage, Twitch poker guru Doug Polk and Faraz Jaka, the “Homeless Millionaire,” will be part of the commentary team to see how everyone performs and to give people an idea of what it feels like to be part of the poker tournament circuit.
Americas Cardroom has been pushing the Punta Cana Poker Classic since early this year. Satellite tournaments have been set up constantly for months now, with several Punta Cana Poker Classic packages that would have been tempting for a lot of people. This is because they included a $1,500+150 buy-in to the $500k GTD Main Event, six nights of accommodations for two at the five-star Melia Caribe Tropical, roundtrip airfare up to $800, free golf, a $250 spa credit and even more.
The latest Americas Cardroom promo for the Punta Cana Poker Classic was early in October, when it gave away 30 such packages to players who managed to get the top spots in a series of satellite tournaments. Bitcoin poker players who were not able to participate or were eliminated such drop by and watch some the Living the Dream videos to see what they missed out on.
