Charges Filed, Arrest Warrant Issued Against Micon

Former chairman of the defunct and former best Bitcoin poker site Seals With Clubs, Bryan Micon, is facing charges for operating an interactive online gambling website in Nevada without procuring the necessary licensure, according to Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt. If convicted, Micon could spend up to 10 years in prison and pay $50,000 fines. Meanwhile, Micon will be fighting this legal battle head on through his defense attorney Richard Schonfeld. This incident becomes the first to have involved an unlicensed Bitcoin poker site.

“The Nevada gaming regulatory structure is considered the ‘Gold Standard’ throughout the world. The Micon prosecution is important because it makes clear that the Nevada Gaming Control Act and its rigorous licensing requirements will be strictly enforced.”

Crypto Poker V2.0 Outs Upgraded Bonuses, Features

Recently revamped Bitcoin poker site introduced Crypto Poker V2.0, a much improved version of its latest poker room. Leading the new features of this site is the beefed up 200% deposit bonus that can award new players up to 2 BTC for free. Weekly freerolls are also present, as well as other new features that are designed to make poker betting a more desirable experience. Other than poker, Crypto Poker also features Bitcoin dice and Bitcoin roulette games.

“These two casino games are also powered by the various cryptocurrencies accepted on this platform. In fact, more digital coins are honored on Crypto Poker as its total number of supported coins is now at 28, clearly giving online gamblers the freedom to enjoy playing poker, dice, and roulette online whichever way they want.”

BTC Price Dips Still Do Wonders in Online Gambling

Over the weekend, the price of Bitcoin hit another slump as it almost fell to $210. Despite the sharp price decline, though, the Bitcoin casino market still thrives, and this is partly due to the fact that this niche still benefits from a low BTC price, especially when it comes to boosting the players’ bankroll.

“In simple words, the lower the Bitcoin value is, the larger the bankroll will be since bettors can buy more BTC for the same price in US dollars or euros. However, having a heftier bankroll is not the main star here. Instead, it is the attractive bonuses and promotions that can be availed with just a smaller sum of deposits and wagers.”

Blocked Sites Show BTC Still in Russia’s Gray Area

With the Russian Gaming Week drawing near, new developments involving the block Bitcoin websites arose. Representatives from BTCSec and Smile Expo appeared in court to defend their rights and businesses.

“According to BTCSec founder Ivan Tikhonov: One should remember that cryptocurrencies are not banned in Russia for now, and no information concerning them cannot be considered as information forbidden for distribution within the Russian Federation. I believe they stand to win.”

Exchanging Fiat to BTC No Longer Complicated

Easy methods of converting fiat to BTC could be a factor for the Bitcoin gambling industry to further grow. With the partnership of Tether and ShapeShift, more people can indulge in the wonders of Bitcoin. Moreover, Cubits’ presence on the Bitcoin casino market presents another avenue for online real-money players to explore the magic within Bitcoin gambling.

“Some may be quick to conclude that the Bitcoin gambling niche is a little too optimistic when it comes to gaining popularity in the iGaming sector. However, the inevitable success is evident as more services empower users to conveniently play with the digital currency without having to manually trade their fiat to BTC.”
